About the
Artist
A native
Texan, Suzy Moritz-Rawdin has been immersed in art her entire life.
Completing her first
professional piece at
the age of 8, art
has always played a role in her life. Her path has taken her from
aspirations of a medical illustrator to the big world
of finance and the corporate
world. Over the past few years, art began to find it’s way
back into her life. Recently, Suzy left corporate America and started “It’s
All Good!”
As life
take many turns, it was not until recently that the art world pulled
Suzy back in.
Her path
back to the artist inside began in 2003 when Suzy’s mother
(and artistic inspiration) came to live with her. Memories
of her mother on a ladder painting murals brought back vivid, spirited
memories of
a little girl who “was taught there was nothing I couldn’t
draw or paint. I was never afraid to make things bigger than
life! Painting murals came naturally to me.”
“My
entire life was spent learning and appreciating every aspect of
art, not only graphic, but ballet and music. When I discovered
I could draw things to look just like they did in “real life” my
dream was to become a medical illustrator!”
As the
precious time on the front porch with her mother rekindled past
memories,
new ones were formed. These moments were the
beginning of
a new path. “She (mom) had a sense of humor that
was unparalleled, her artistic talent and creativity were
incredible
and her strong love
and caring for all were an inspiration. “ The summer
of 2003 brought the realization that “there truly
was something missing….my
creativity and my art! “
Shortly
after the passing of her mother and with a little prodding from
her husband
Scott, Suzy signed up to take
a life drawing
class in 2004. Her studies began under Al Kravinger at
the Creative Arts
Center in Dallas, and the artistic juices began to flow.
A 12-week course, “The Artist’s Way” shortly
followed in January 2005. Suzy continued her studies
in New Mexico in July 2005 at a Kathleen
Dello Stritto workshop. The class painted at Ghost Ranch,
where Georgia O'Keefe lived and worked. “My art
teacher, Kathleen Della Stritto, became my mentor and
friend. Kathleen
inspired me to pursue
my artistic
passion and build an art studio, where creative dreams
begin.”
Through
the encouragement of her husband, children and grandchildren, the
creative dreams have
become a reality.
“I hope through my inherited abilities, my deep love for children and
passion for art, I can help create a vision for the
child in your life.”
